This policy explains what personal information Sadde.lk collects, how we use it and the choices you have. We aim to handle personal data in line with Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored encrypted). If you sign in with Facebook or Google, the name and email they share with us.
- Ad details: what you post, including photos, price, location and the phone number you add to an ad.
- Messages to us: what you send through the contact form or when you report an ad.
- Usage information: basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, used to keep the site secure and working. We store a one-way code made from your IP address, not the address itself, when you report an ad.
Who can see what
- The phone number and location on an ad are public, because buyers need them to contact you. Only add details you're happy to share.
- Your email address is not shown on your ads.
- Ads may also appear on our partner site chordslankalk.com.
How we use it
To run your account and your ads, to send you emails about them (approved, needs a change, ending soon), to review ads and reports and prevent fraud, and to improve Sadde. We don't sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Only with services that help us run Sadde, such as hosting, email delivery and storage providers, and only as much as they need. We may share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
As long as your account is open. Ended ads stay in your account so you can renew them. When you delete your account, your ads and photos are deleted. Some records, such as reports and moderation history, may be kept for a limited time to prevent abuse.
Your choices
- You can view and update your details in your account settings.
- You can delete your account and data at any time: see delete your data.
- You can ask us what information we hold about you, or to correct it: contact us.
Cookies
We use cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the site secure. We don't use advertising cookies.
